Aram Katchaturian and Boomer Musicians
Elsewhere I’ve mentioned that one of my earliest musical memories as a small child is dancing to the Sabre Dance, by noted Armenian composer Aram Katchaturian. It’s part of his ballet Gayane.

Oh, I love “Sabre Dance!” Can’t recall when first I heard the music, but I immediately fell in love with it. Could easily have been around ‘48. I never took the time to look up any information about the composer, so appreciate your sharing some here.
BTW thanks for the YouTube, but could only get it to play the first 57secs, but maybe that was all it was supposed to, though the time of 2:57 or so popped up — maybe it’s my computer.

Hi, Joared, “Sabre Dance” seems to be ingrained into our particular generation :)
Blogger error, not your computer–the YouTube embed code was broken, so I removed it for the time being. I’ll re-post it when I get a good tag. The great b5 support group helped me find the problem!
